At Ridgeway Theatre School, Latin American Dance is vibrant, energetic, and full of joy. Designed for boys and girls of all ages, our classes introduce children to exciting styles including Rumba, Samba, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, and Jive. With fast‑paced steps and expressive rhythms, Latin American Dance is one of the most popular styles today — perfect for building confidence, creativity, and friendships.

? Training & Technique

Children learn:

•  Core Latin styles (Rumba, Samba, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Jive)

•  Rhythm, musicality, and expressive movement

•  Coordination, posture, and stamina

•  Partner and group work to build teamwork and confidence

Lessons are lively and engaging, encouraging creativity while developing discipline and technique.

? Accredited Examinations

Students work towards UKA medals through to diploma level, giving them recognised qualifications and a clear pathway for progression. Examinations celebrate achievement and motivate children to reach new goals, while still keeping the joy of dance at the centre.

Ridgeway students gain opportunities to perform in productions, showcases, and competitions, applying their Latin training on stage. These experiences build confidence, stage presence, and teamwork, while giving parents the joy of seeing their children shine.

Through our Theatrical Agency, students have appeared in West End productions, national tours, films, and television.
